WAIVER & RELEASE
Parent/Buyer and Participant(s) agree that Participant engage in physical exercise, the use of equipment, and the use of Camp Champs training and instruction facility, which can be dangerous to the Participant(s) and could cause injury to Participant(s). Participant(s) is voluntarily participating in these activities and Parent/Buyer and Participant(s) assume all risks of injury to Participant. Parent/Buyer and Participant(s) hereby waive and release any claim or right to sue Camp Champs, its affiliated and related companies and each of their representative directors, officers, owners, employees, representatives and authorized agents (herein referred to as “Camp Champs”) for injury to Participant(s). Parent/Buyer and /or Participant(s) have carefully read this waiver and release and fully understand it is a release of all liabilities and damages to Camp Champs because of any injury that may occur. Camp Champs will make no evaluation or recommendation on whether Participant(s) or guests are physically fit for any exercise activities. It is always advisable to consult your physician before undertaking a physical exercise program.
PROVIDING SPORTS ACTIVITIES
I understand that Camp Champs is a activity-themed program and not a daycare in as such, their stock-in-trade is not supervision and care.
LOSS/DAMAGE/THEFT OF PROPERTY
Camp Champs does not assume any responsibility for the loss, damage or theft of any property belonging to the Participant(s) and Parent/Buyer agrees that the facility and its personnel are not responsible for or liable for any such property even if its loss, damage, or theft occurs on or about the facility.
MEDICAL CONSENT
In the event of an accident, injury or illness involving a child(ren), Camp Champs will, as soon as possible, contact by telephone: (1) the parents or legal guardian, (2) the emergency contact listed above.
If Camp Champs cannot immediately reach a parent/legal guardian or designated emergency contact,Parent/Buyer hereby authorizes Camp Champs, its directors, managers and authorized employees to secure and, if necessary, consent to medical treatment for Participant(s) including without limitation, transportation and admission to an emergency clinic or hospital, administration of x-rays, tests or treatment, medication or injections, anesthesia and/or surgery, as deemed necessary by the attending medical professional(s).
By registering, Parent/Buyer agrees to be responsible for any medical expenses incurred by Camp Champs on behalf of Participant(s).
OFF-SITE AND AQUATIC ACTIVITY CONSENT & SAFETY ACKNOWLEDGMENT
Parent/Buyer acknowledges and agrees that as part of Camp Champs programming, the Participant may take part in off-site outings, including but not limited to supervised visits to local parks and public aquatic facilities such as Stanley Park Pool or Varsity Pool.
Camp Champs affirms that:
Off-site activities are within walking distance and supervised at all times by trained staff in compliance with Alberta safety standards.
Our off-site supervision and risk management practices are modeled on the Calgary Board of Education’s Administrative Regulation 3027 (AR 3027) to ensure structured planning, full-time supervision, and clear emergency procedures.
For aquatic activities, all children 8 years and younger will be directly supervised in the water by a staff member aged 14 or older and within arm’s reach at all times, in accordance with Calgary Recreation municipal pool rules.
Parents/Buyers are responsible for providing a properly fitted life jacket for any child aged 8 or younger, or if they determine that their child requires one for additional safety.
Certified lifeguards are present at all pool visits, and additional staff are designated to supervise non-swimming children on land.

Camp Champs is an independent organization and is not affiliated with the Calgary Board of Education (CBE) or Calgary Recreation. Any reference to their standards or policies is made solely to illustrate the best-practice frameworks we use to guide our own safety procedures. We voluntarily align our protocols with these guidelines to ensure high-quality supervision and care, but we are not governed by or officially endorsed by these entities.
By registering, Parent/Buyer consents to the Participant’s involvement in these supervised off-site and aquatic activities and affirms their understanding of the associated risks and the supervision measures in place.
CONSENT TO USE PHOTOGRAPHIC, VIDEO RECORDINGS
Parent/Buyer and Participant(s) consents that photographs may be taken and video recordings may be made of Participant(s) by Camp Champs during Participant’s participation in Camp Champs activities. Such photographs and video recordings may be used by Camp Champs for current and future marketing activities and promotional materials. Parent/Buyer and Participant(s) authorize Camp Champs to use, reproduce, edit, alter, publish, transmit, distribute, broadcast and display photographs and video recordings that contain Participant’s image, with or without his/her name associated with them, in any current or future promotional materials, in both print and electronic format, including, but not limited to: publications, video multimedia productions, CD, DVD, displays, posters, brochures, advertisements, newsletters, media coverage, souvenirs, and on its website or social media websites such as Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and LinkedIn, without further notice to Parent/Buyer or without approval of the finished photographs, videos or audio recordings.

Our refund and cancellation policy helps us plan an exceptional experience for our Participants, for that reason, we offer a No Refund policy.

No Refunds after 48 hours of registration
Cancelations in the case of a medical situation may be considered.
RETURNED PAYMENTS
A returned payment will have a service fee of $30.00. For the second returned fee a $60.00 service charge will be assessed. Additionally, the above credit card/debit card will be debited for the returned payment plus any outstanding fees. Your prompt payment is greatly appreciated.
NON-REFUNDABLE ADMIN FEE
$30 non-refundable administration fee will be assessed on all cancelled registrations, regardless of cancellation date.
